Overview

A 2 Days Amboseli Safari from Nairobi is the perfect short wildlife adventure for travelers with limited time who still want to experience one of Kenya’s most iconic safari destinations. Located approximately 230 km south of Nairobi, Amboseli National Park is famous for its large herds of free-roaming elephants, breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, diverse wildlife, and beautiful open plains.

Despite being one of Kenya’s smaller national parks, Amboseli offers exceptional game viewing throughout the year. Visitors frequently encounter elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, hippos and over 400 bird species. The park’s swamps, fed by underground springs from Mount Kilimanjaro, attract wildlife even during the dry season, making Amboseli one of the most reliable safari destinations in East Africa.

Roaming Africa Tours & Safaris operates private and customized Amboseli safaris with professional English-speaking safari guides, well-maintained 4×4 Land Cruisers fitted with pop-up roofs, and carefully selected lodges and tented camps suitable for every budget.

Why Visit Amboseli National Park?

Amboseli National Park is internationally recognized as one of Africa’s best places to observe African elephants in their natural habitat. The elephants here are among the most studied in the world and often walk just meters from safari vehicles.

The park is also renowned for its spectacular backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain standing at 5,895 metres. Early morning usually offers the clearest mountain views, creating unforgettable photography opportunities.

Unlike many other parks, Amboseli’s open landscape allows visitors to spot wildlife from long distances, greatly increasing chances of successful game viewing.
